This base-mounted end suction pump utilizes a class 30 cast iron casing with a center-line discharge for air venting. The unit integrates a bronze impeller and a stainless steel shaft covered by a replaceable bronze shaft sleeve, ensuring the shaft remains isolated from the circulating fluid through a dry shaft design. Its mechanical seal consists of ceramic and EPT components, rated for a maximum pressure of 125 PSI. The assembly includes pressure tappings on suction and discharge connections for monitoring and incorporates a self-flushing seal design to maintain optimal performance.
The motor is a 50 HP premium efficiency TEFC model operating at 3450 RPM with Aegis shaft grounding, powered by a 380-460V / 3PH supply and maintaining a DOE PEI rating of 0.47. The 'S' in the SCI series denotes Taco's advanced Self-Sensing technology, which eliminates remote sensors and field wiring by using internal mathematical algorithms to calculate system resistance and automate variable flow. The included VFD is configured with a fused disconnect without bypass and holds an enclosure NEMA 12 / IP 55 rating. The drive ships unmounted for customer wall installation without a bracket, harness, or vibration mounts.
