This Taco FI Series base-mounted end suction pump features a cast iron casing with 2-1/2" suction and 2" discharge ANSI Class 125 flanges. The unit utilizes a 7-1/4" nominal diameter bronze impeller and a stainless steel shaft equipped with a bronze shaft sleeve. The mechanical seal assembly consists of a silicon-carbide seat, a carbon rotor, and EPT rubber, suitable for clean water applications with temperatures up to 250°F. The pump design incorporates a dry shaft construction to isolate the shaft from the circulating fluid, along with pressure tappings on the suction and discharge connections and flush seal line taps.
The pump operates at 3450 RPM and is driven by a 20 HP Baldor motor with an ODP enclosure. This motor is configured in a NEMA 254 T frame and uses an across the line starting option for a 230-460V, 3PH, 60Hz power supply. The assembly is mounted on a welded base that includes an integral drip pan, a Woods coupler, and an OSHA-compliant coupler guard. The motor meets NEMA premium efficiency standards per MG1-12.55 and includes AEGIS shaft grounding. The pump has a DOE PEI rating of 0.91.
