This base-mounted end suction pump utilizes a cast iron casing with a center-line discharge for air venting and a bronze impeller dynamically balanced to ANSI Grade G6.3. The pump construction incorporates a stainless steel shaft covered by a replaceable bronze shaft sleeve and a dry shaft design that prevents circulating fluid from contacting the shaft. An EPT rubber and ceramic mechanical seal accommodates fluid temperatures up to 250°F. Integrated pressure tappings at the suction and discharge connections allow for monitoring, while the bearing housing contains permanently lubricated sealed-for-life ball bearings.
Powered by a 15 HP premium efficiency ODP motor with Aegis grounding, the pump operates at 1750 RPM and accepts 208V 3PH power input, achieving a DOE PEI rating of 0.47. The 'S' in the SFI series denotes Taco's advanced Self-Sensing technology, which eliminates remote sensors and field wiring by using internal mathematical algorithms to calculate system resistance and automate variable flow. The included VFD is configured with an electro-mechanical bypass and a main disconnect and holds an enclosure NEMA 1 / IP 21 rating. The drive ships unmounted for customer wall installation without a bracket, harness, or vibration mounts.
