This base-mounted end suction pump integrates a class 30 cast iron casing with integrally cast mounting feet and a bronze impeller. The assembly utilizes a dry shaft design that prevents circulating fluid from contacting the stainless steel shaft, which is covered by a replaceable stainless steel shaft sleeve. The mechanical seal consists of a ceramic seat and EPT rubber, rated for operation at 250°F. This configuration supports pressure ratings up to 125 PSI and incorporates flush seal line taps to allow for filter installation, protecting the seal from non-condensable particles in open systems.
Powered by a 40 HP Premium Efficiency TEFC motor operating at 3450 RPM, the system includes Aegis Grounding and connects to a 208V / 3PH power supply, achieving a DOE PEI of 0.46. The 'S' in the SCI series denotes Taco's advanced Self-Sensing technology, which eliminates remote sensors and field wiring by using internal mathematical algorithms to calculate system resistance and automate variable flow. The included VFD is configured with a fused disconnect without bypass and holds an enclosure NEMA 12 / IP 55 rating. The drive ships unmounted for customer wall installation without a bracket, harness, or vibration mounts.
