This Taco CI Series close-coupled end suction pump features a cast iron casing and cover, a stainless steel impeller, and a bronze shaft sleeve. The suction connection measures 2-1/2" and the discharge connection measures 2". It uses ANSI Class 125 flanges, a bronze wear ring, and a 9-1/2" nominal impeller diameter. The pump construction includes a dry shaft design to prevent contact between the shaft and circulating fluid. It incorporates flush seal line taps and pressure tappings on the suction and discharge connections. The mechanical seal assembly consists of a tungsten carbide seat, carbon rotor, and EPT rubber, rated for clean water up to 300°F. The rear pullout design allows for servicing without removing system piping.
The unit operates at 3450 RPM and is powered by a 40 HP Baldor motor with an ODP enclosure. It utilizes a JM motor frame with feet and is configured for 230-460V/60/3PH power supply. The motor meets NEMA premium efficiency standards and features AEGIS shaft grounding. It operates in 40°C ambient temperatures with across the line starting. This pump has a PEI of 0.89. The top center line discharge configuration supports self-venting and reduces piping strain.
