This base-mounted end suction pump is constructed with a class 30 cast iron casing and a bronze impeller. The design integrates a replaceable bronze shaft sleeve and a stainless steel shaft, utilizing a dry shaft construction that prevents the circulating fluid from contacting the shaft. The mechanical seal assembly consists of a ceramic seat half and EPT rubber, rated for 250°F. The unit incorporates a 125 PSI pressure rating and is tapped for gauge ports at the suction and discharge connections.
This assembly utilizes a 5 HP premium efficiency TEFC motor operating at 1750 RPM with Aegis grounding, powered by 200-230V 3PH input, with a DOE PEI rating of 0.44. The 'S' in the SFI series denotes Taco's advanced Self-Sensing technology, which eliminates remote sensors and field wiring by using internal mathematical algorithms to calculate system resistance and automate variable flow. The included VFD is configured with a fused disconnect without bypass and holds an enclosure NEMA 12 / IP 55 rating. The drive ships unmounted for customer wall installation without a bracket, harness, or vibration mounts.
