This base-mounted end suction pump utilizes a cast iron casing with a center-line discharge for air venting. It incorporates a bronze impeller, a stainless steel shaft, and a replaceable bronze shaft sleeve to isolate the shaft from circulating fluid. The mechanical seal assembly comprises ceramic seat halves and EPT elastomers. Constructed for systems up to 125 PSI, the pump design allows for field servicing without the removal of system piping.
The assembly utilizes a 15 HP premium efficiency TEFC motor operating at 1750 RPM, equipped with Aegis grounding and a 380-460V / 3PH power supply, resulting in a DOE PEI rating of 0.45. The 'S' in the SCI series denotes Taco's advanced Self-Sensing technology, which eliminates remote sensors and field wiring by using internal mathematical algorithms to calculate system resistance and automate variable flow. The included VFD is configured with a fused disconnect without bypass and holds an enclosure NEMA 12 / IP 55 rating. The drive ships unmounted for customer wall installation without a bracket, harness, or vibration mounts.
