This close-coupled end suction pump utilizes a cast iron casing and a bronze impeller to facilitate fluid transfer. The dry shaft assembly comprises a bronze shaft sleeve designed to isolate the shaft from the circulating fluid, while the mechanical seal incorporates a ceramic seat half and EPT rubber. This pump handles pressures up to 125 PSI without a wear ring and provides pressure tappings on suction and discharge connections for system monitoring.
The pump operates with a 25 HP premium efficiency TEFC motor at 1750 RPM, integrating Aegis grounding and a 380-460V / 3PH power supply, with a DOE PEI of 0.46. The 'S' in the SCI series denotes Taco's advanced Self-Sensing technology, which eliminates remote sensors and field wiring by using internal mathematical algorithms to calculate system resistance and automate variable flow. The included VFD is configured with a fused disconnect without bypass and holds an enclosure NEMA 12 / IP 55 rating. The drive ships unmounted for customer wall installation without a bracket, harness, or vibration mounts.
