This close-coupled end suction pump utilizes a cast iron casing housing a bronze impeller and a bronze shaft sleeve. The dry shaft design eliminates contact with the circulating fluid, reducing the need for corrosion-resistant materials on the shaft. A mechanical seal incorporates a ceramic seat half and EPT rubber, providing a construction rated for 125 PSI without a wear ring. This assembly integrates flush seal line taps for filter installation and standard pressure tappings on the suction and discharge connections.
Powered by a 5 HP premium efficiency TEFC motor operating at 1750 RPM, the assembly utilizes Aegis grounding and accepts 380-460V / 3PH power input, achieving a DOE PEI of 0.43. The "S" in the SCI series denotes Taco's advanced Self-Sensing technology, which eliminates remote sensors and field wiring by using internal mathematical algorithms to calculate system resistance and automate variable flow. The included VFD is configured with a fused disconnect without bypass and holds an enclosure NEMA 4X / IP 66 rating. The drive ships unmounted for customer wall installation without a bracket, harness, or vibration mounts.
