This Taco FI Series base-mounted end suction pump features a 5" suction and 4" discharge with ANSI Class 125 flanges. The unit is constructed with a cast iron casing and a bronze impeller with a 13-1/2" nominal diameter. It uses a dry shaft design with a stainless steel shaft and a replaceable bronze shaft sleeve. The mechanical seal consists of a silicon-carbide seat, carbon rotor, and EPT rubber, rated for operation in temperatures up to 250°F. The casing includes pressure tappings for both suction and discharge connections and supports a self-flushing seal design for clean water applications.
This unit operates at 1750 RPM and is powered by a 40 HP Baldor TEFC motor. The motor is configured for a 230-460/60/3 PH power supply, utilizes a NEMA 324 T-frame, and meets premium efficiency standards per MG1-12.55 with AEGIS shaft grounding. The pump assembly is mounted on a welded structural steel base equipped with an integral drip pan and an OSHA-compliant coupler guard. It uses a Woods coupler for across-the-line starting applications. The pump system has a DOE PEI value of 0.92.
