This close-coupled end suction pump is constructed with a cast iron casing and a bronze impeller. The design incorporates a dry shaft to prevent contact with the circulating fluid, supported by a replaceable bronze shaft sleeve. The assembly utilizes a mechanical seal with a ceramic seat half and EPT rubber. Flush seal line taps allow for the installation of a filter to protect the seal, while pressure tappings are provided on the suction and discharge connections.
Powered by a 5 HP Premium Efficiency TEFC motor at 1750 RPM with Aegis grounding, the unit operates on 380-460V / 3PH power and maintains a DOE PEI rating of 0.43. The 'S' in the SCI series denotes Taco's advanced Self-Sensing technology, which eliminates remote sensors and field wiring by using internal mathematical algorithms to calculate system resistance and automate variable flow. The included VFD is configured with a fused disconnect without bypass and holds an enclosure NEMA 12 / IP 55 rating. The drive ships unmounted for customer wall installation without a bracket, harness, or vibration mounts.
