This base-mounted end suction pump comprises a cast iron casing with center-line discharge and a bronze impeller. The design integrates a dry shaft protected by a stainless steel shaft sleeve, preventing contact between the circulating fluid and the shaft. A mechanical seal utilizes a ceramic seat half with EPT rubber elements to maintain fluid containment. The assembly withstands pressures up to 125 PSI without a wear ring. Pressure tappings are available at both suction and discharge connections for monitoring system conditions.
The pump operates with a 10 HP premium efficiency TEFC motor at 1750 RPM, equipped with Aegis grounding and powered by a 200-230V 3PH supply, achieving a DOE PEI rating of 0.47. The S in the SFI series denotes Taco’s advanced Self-Sensing technology, which eliminates remote sensors and field wiring by using internal mathematical algorithms to calculate system resistance and automate variable flow. The included VFD is configured with a fused disconnect without bypass and holds an enclosure NEMA Type 1 / IP 21 rating. The drive ships unmounted for customer wall installation without a bracket, harness, or vibration mounts.
