This base-mounted end suction pump is constructed with a cast iron casing and a bronze impeller. The design incorporates a dry shaft to prevent contact between the fluid and the stainless steel shaft, which is protected by a replaceable bronze shaft sleeve. A wear ring is integrated into the 125 PSI rated casing for operational longevity. The mechanical seal utilizes a ceramic seat and EPT rubber to maintain fluid containment during operation.
The assembly utilizes a 5 HP premium efficiency TEFC motor operating at 1750 RPM with Aegis grounding and a 380-460V / 3PH power supply, resulting in a DOE PEI rating of 0.44. The 'S' in the SCI series denotes Taco's advanced Self-Sensing technology, which eliminates remote sensors and field wiring by using internal mathematical algorithms to calculate system resistance and automate variable flow. The included VFD is configured with a fused disconnect without bypass and holds an enclosure NEMA 12 / IP 55 rating. The drive ships unmounted for customer wall installation without a bracket, harness, or vibration mounts.
