This close-coupled end suction pump is constructed with a cast iron casing, a bronze impeller, and a bronze shaft sleeve. The assembly utilizes a dry shaft design that prevents contact between the shaft and the circulating fluid, maintaining operation at pressures up to 125 PSI without a wear ring. A mechanical seal, comprising a ceramic seat and EPT rubber, provides the primary seal for the rotating assembly. Both suction and discharge connections integrate pressure tappings to allow for system monitoring.
The motor is a 3 HP premium efficiency TEFC model operating at 1750 RPM with Aegis grounding, powered by 380-460V / 3PH electricity, and achieving a DOE PEI rating of 0.49. The 'S' in the SCI series denotes Taco's advanced Self-Sensing technology, which eliminates remote sensors and field wiring by using internal mathematical algorithms to calculate system resistance and automate variable flow. The included VFD is configured with a fused disconnect without bypass and holds an enclosure NEMA 12 / IP 55 rating. The drive ships unmounted for customer wall installation without a bracket, harness, or vibration mounts.
