This base-mounted end suction pump utilizes a class 30 cast iron casing with integrally cast mounting feet and a center-line discharge design for positive air venting. A bronze impeller provides hydraulic performance and operates within the casing. The assembly incorporates a dry shaft design that eliminates contact between the circulating fluid and the shaft, which is protected by a replaceable bronze shaft sleeve. Mechanical sealing is managed by a ceramic seat with EPT rubber components to ensure consistent fluid containment. Pressure tappings are integrated into both the suction and discharge connections to facilitate system monitoring.
The pump utilizes a 5 HP Premium Efficiency TEFC motor operating at 3450 RPM with Aegis grounding and a 380-460V / 3PH power supply, resulting in a DOE PEI rating of 0.47. The "S" in the SCI series denotes Taco's advanced Self-Sensing technology, which eliminates remote sensors and field wiring by using internal mathematical algorithms to calculate system resistance and automate variable flow. The included VFD is configured with a fused disconnect without bypass and holds an enclosure NEMA 12 / IP 55 rating. The drive ships unmounted for customer wall installation without a bracket, harness, or vibration mounts.
