This Taco FI Series base-mounted end suction pump features a 5" suction and 4" discharge connection with ANSI Class 125 flanges. The unit consists of a cast iron casing, a bronze impeller with a 9 1/2" nominal diameter, and a stainless steel shaft equipped with a bronze shaft sleeve. The mechanical seal assembly uses a ceramic seat, carbon rotor, and EPT rubber, rated for operation at temperatures up to 250 °F. This pump incorporates a dry shaft design that prevents contact between the circulating fluid and the shaft. Pressure tappings are provided on both the suction and discharge connections for system monitoring.
The pump operates at 1750 RPM and is powered by a 15 HP WEG TEFC motor in a NEMA 254 T-frame. It is configured for 230-460/60/3 power supply and utilizes across the line starting. The assembly includes AEGIS shaft grounding and is mounted on a welded base with an integrated drip pan and an OSHA-compliant coupler guard. A Woods coupler connects the pump to the motor. This unit meets NEMA standard efficiency requirements, and the DOE PEI is 0.93.
