This base-mounted end suction pump incorporates a class 30 cast iron casing and a bronze impeller. The design utilizes a dry shaft configuration that prevents the circulating fluid from contacting the stainless steel shaft, which is protected by a replaceable bronze shaft sleeve. A mechanical seal with a ceramic seat and EPT rubber components maintains system integrity at pressures reaching 125 PSI. Integrally cast mounting feet support the assembly, and the volute provides center-line discharge for air venting.
The assembly utilizes a 40 HP premium efficiency TEFC motor operating at 3450 RPM with Aegis grounding and a 380-460V / 3PH power supply, resulting in a DOE PEI rating of 0.47. The 'S' in the SCI series denotes Taco's advanced Self-Sensing technology, which eliminates remote sensors and field wiring by using internal mathematical algorithms to calculate system resistance and automate variable flow. The included VFD is configured with a fused disconnect without bypass and holds an enclosure NEMA 12 / IP 55 rating. The drive ships unmounted for customer wall installation without a bracket, harness, or vibration mounts.
