This base-mounted end suction pump is constructed with a cast iron casing, a bronze impeller, and a stainless steel shaft equipped with a bronze shaft sleeve. The dry shaft design prevents contact between the circulating fluid and the shaft, maintaining 125 PSI system pressure. A ceramic seat and EPT rubber mechanical seal configuration ensures containment of process fluids. This assembly incorporates integrally cast mounting feet on the casing to facilitate installation while allowing for maintenance of internal components without disturbing system piping connections.
The motor is a 7.5 HP premium efficiency TEFC model operating at 3450 RPM, which integrates Aegis grounding and utilizes a 200-230V, 3PH power supply, resulting in a DOE PEI of 0.47. The "S" in the SFI series denotes Taco's advanced Self-Sensing technology, which eliminates remote sensors and field wiring by using internal mathematical algorithms to calculate system resistance and automate variable flow. The included VFD is configured without a fused disconnect or bypass and holds an enclosure NEMA 4X / IP 66 rating. The drive ships unmounted for customer wall installation without a bracket, harness, or vibration mounts.
