This base-mounted end suction pump is constructed with a cast iron casing and a bronze impeller. The assembly integrates a stainless steel shaft covered by a bronze shaft sleeve, which incorporates a dry shaft design to isolate the fluid from the shaft. A ceramic and EPT mechanical seal provides containment, supporting a pressure rating of 125 PSI. The pump assembly includes gauge ports on the suction and discharge connections for monitoring system performance.
Operating with a 15 HP premium efficiency motor within a TEFC enclosure at 3450 RPM, the assembly utilizes Aegis grounding and a 380-460V / 3PH power supply, resulting in a DOE PEI rating of 0.45. The "S" in the SCI series denotes Taco's advanced Self-Sensing technology, which eliminates remote sensors and field wiring by using internal mathematical algorithms to calculate system resistance and automate variable flow. The included VFD is configured with a fused disconnect without bypass and holds an enclosure NEMA 1 / IP 21 rating. The drive ships unmounted for customer wall installation without a bracket, harness, or vibration mounts.
