This base-mounted end suction pump utilizes a cast iron casing with integrally cast mounting feet and a bronze impeller dynamically balanced to ANSI Grade G6.3. It incorporates a stainless steel shaft covered by a replaceable bronze shaft sleeve, employing a dry shaft configuration that isolates the circulating fluid from the shaft. The mechanical seal assembly consists of a ceramic seat paired with EPT rubber components to provide a seal rated for 250°F operation. Pressure tappings are provided on both suction and discharge connections, and the unit maintains a rating of 125 PSI without the use of a wear ring.
Powered by a 15 HP premium efficiency TEFC motor, the assembly operates at 3450 RPM, integrates Aegis grounding, and utilizes a 380-460V 3PH power supply, resulting in a DOE PEI rating of 0.45. The 'S' in the SFI series denotes Taco's advanced Self-Sensing technology, which eliminates remote sensors and field wiring by using internal mathematical algorithms to calculate system resistance and automate variable flow. The included VFD is configured with a fused disconnect without bypass and holds an enclosure NEMA 12 / IP 55 rating. The drive ships unmounted for customer wall installation without a bracket, harness, or vibration mounts.
