This base-mounted end suction pump comprises a cast iron casing with integrally cast mounting feet and a bronze impeller. The dry shaft assembly incorporates a stainless steel shaft covered by a replaceable bronze shaft sleeve, isolated from the circulating fluid to prevent corrosion. A ceramic and EPT mechanical seal regulates fluid containment within the unit, which operates at a pressure rating of 125 PSI. Gauge ports are provided at the suction and discharge connections to facilitate system monitoring, while the casing design allows for service without disturbing system piping.
Powered by a 1.5 HP premium efficiency motor within an ODP enclosure, the assembly operates at 1750 RPM. This motor integrates Aegis grounding and connects to a 200-230V, 3PH power supply, resulting in a DOE PEI of 0.44. The "S" in the series denotes Taco's advanced Self-Sensing technology, which eliminates remote sensors and field wiring by using internal mathematical algorithms to calculate system resistance and automate variable flow. The included VFD is configured with a fused disconnect without bypass and holds an enclosure NEMA 1 / IP 21 rating. The drive ships unmounted for customer wall installation without a bracket, harness, or vibration mounts.
