This Taco FI Series base-mounted end suction pump features a 2-1/2" suction and 2" discharge with ANSI Class 125 flanges. It is constructed with a cast iron casing and a 9-1/2" nominal diameter bronze impeller. The internal assembly utilizes a stainless steel shaft paired with a bronze shaft sleeve and a mechanical seal composed of a silicon-carbide seat, carbon rotor, and EPT rubber. The pump is rated for operation in clean water applications at temperatures up to 250°F. The unit incorporates a dry shaft design to prevent the circulating fluid from contacting the shaft and does not include a wear ring.
This pump is driven by a 5 HP Baldor TEFC motor in a NEMA 184T frame. It operates at 1750 RPM on a 230-460V/60/3PH power supply and meets NEMA MG1-12.55 premium efficiency standards. The motor includes an AEGIS shaft grounding ring. The assembly is mounted on a welded base that features an integral drip pan, a Woods coupler, and an OSHA-compliant coupler guard. This configuration uses across the line starting and maintains a DOE PEI rating of 0.86.
