This end suction pump utilizes a dry shaft design to isolate the pump shaft from the circulating fluid. The unit comprises a class 30 cast iron casing with integrally cast mounting feet and a 125 PSI pressure rating, along with a bronze impeller and a replaceable bronze shaft sleeve mounted on a stainless steel shaft. A mechanical seal constructed of ceramic and EPT materials prevents leakage at the shaft entry point. The casing incorporates suction and discharge gauge ports to facilitate system monitoring.
The assembly utilizes a 3 HP premium efficiency TEFC motor operating at 3450 RPM with Aegis shaft grounding, powered by 380-460V 3PH electricity, and carries a DOE PEI rating of 0.49. The "S" in the SFI series denotes Taco's advanced Self-Sensing technology, which eliminates remote sensors and field wiring by using internal mathematical algorithms to calculate system resistance and automate variable flow. The included VFD is configured with a fused disconnect without bypass and holds an enclosure NEMA 1 / IP 21 rating. The drive ships unmounted for customer wall installation without a bracket, harness, or vibration mounts.
