This base-mounted end suction pump utilizes a cast iron casing with integrally cast mounting feet. The assembly incorporates a stainless steel impeller and a stainless steel shaft paired with a replaceable bronze shaft sleeve. This mechanical design utilizes a dry shaft configuration that isolates the shaft from the circulating fluid and carries a 125 PSI pressure rating. The pump utilizes a mechanical seal constructed with ceramic seat halves and EPT rubber components. The center-line discharge design provides for positive air venting.
The pump is driven by a 25 HP premium efficiency TEFC motor operating at 3450 RPM with Aegis shaft grounding, supplied by 380-460V / 3PH power, and achieves a DOE PEI rating of 0.46. The S in the SFI series denotes Taco's advanced Self-Sensing technology, which eliminates remote sensors and field wiring by using internal mathematical algorithms to calculate system resistance and automate variable flow. The included VFD is configured with a fused disconnect without bypass and holds an enclosure NEMA 12 / IP 55 rating. The drive ships unmounted for customer wall installation without a bracket, harness, or vibration mounts.
