This Taco CI Series close-coupled end suction pump features a cast iron casing and cover with 5" suction and 4" discharge connections. It utilizes a 9-1/2" nominal diameter stainless steel impeller and a bronze shaft sleeve. The unit is equipped with ANSI Class 125 flanges including a bronze wear ring. The mechanical seal consists of a silicon-carbide seat, carbon rotor, and EPT rubber, rated for operation in clean water temperatures up to 250°F. The assembly includes a rear pullout design, flush seal line taps, and pressure tappings on the suction and discharge connections.
The pump operates at 1750 RPM and is powered by a 20 HP Baldor TEFC motor. The motor is configured with a 256 JM frame style including feet, AEGIS shaft grounding, and premium efficiency ratings that meet MG1-12.55 standards. Electrical requirements are 230-460/60/3PH, with a standard across-the-line starting option and a 40°C ambient rating. This configuration features a top center line discharge and a no drip cover. The pump has a DOE PEI rating of 0.92.
