This base-mounted end suction pump is constructed with a cast iron casing and a bronze impeller. The assembly utilizes a dry shaft design that prevents contact between the circulating fluid and the stainless steel shaft, which is protected by a replaceable bronze shaft sleeve. A mechanical seal incorporating a ceramic seat and EPT rubber components maintains system integrity at a maximum pressure of 125 PSI. This design allows for maintenance without disturbing the system piping.
The motor utilizes a 2 HP premium efficiency TEFC 1750 RPM assembly with Aegis grounding, operating on 380-460V / 3PH power with a DOE PEI of 0.46. The 'S' in the SCI series denotes Taco's advanced Self-Sensing technology, which eliminates remote sensors and field wiring by using internal mathematical algorithms to calculate system resistance and automate variable flow. The included VFD is configured with a fused disconnect without bypass and holds an enclosure NEMA 12 / IP 55 rating. The drive ships unmounted for customer wall installation without a bracket, harness, or vibration mounts.
