This close-coupled end suction pump integrates a cast iron casing with a bronze impeller and a bronze shaft sleeve. The dry shaft assembly eliminates contact between the shaft and the circulating fluid, while the mechanical seal utilizes a ceramic seat and EPT rubber. This design accommodates internal pressures up to 125 PSI. Pressure tappings located on the suction and discharge connections allow for monitoring, and the construction incorporates flush seal line taps to permit the installation of a filter for protection against non-condensable particles.
Powered by a 5 HP Premium Efficiency TEFC motor, the assembly operates at 3450 RPM and incorporates Aegis grounding on a 380-460V / 3PH power supply. The 'S' in the SCI series denotes Taco's advanced Self-Sensing technology, which eliminates remote sensors and field wiring by using internal mathematical algorithms to calculate system resistance and automate variable flow. The included VFD is configured with a fused disconnect without bypass and holds an enclosure NEMA 12 / IP 55 rating. The drive ships unmounted for customer wall installation without a bracket, harness, or vibration mounts.
