This base-mounted end suction pump is constructed with a class 30 cast iron casing and a bronze impeller. The design integrates a stainless steel shaft protected by a replaceable bronze shaft sleeve, which prevents contact with the circulating fluid. A mechanical seal comprising a silicon-carbide seat and EPT rubber components maintains system integrity at a pressure rating of 125 PSI. The unit incorporates an integrally cast mounting foot on the volute and accommodates gauge ports for monitoring suction and discharge pressures.
Powering the assembly is a 5 HP Premium Efficiency TEFC motor operating at 1750 RPM with Aegis shaft grounding, utilizing a 200-230V 3PH power supply, resulting in a DOE PEI of 0.44. The 'S' in the SCI series denotes Taco's advanced Self-Sensing technology, which eliminates remote sensors and field wiring by using internal mathematical algorithms to calculate system resistance and automate variable flow. The included VFD is configured with a fused disconnect without bypass and holds an enclosure NEMA 12 / IP 55 rating. The drive ships unmounted for customer wall installation without a bracket, harness, or vibration mounts.
