This close-coupled end suction pump is constructed with a cast iron casing and a bronze impeller. The design integrates a dry shaft with a stainless steel shaft sleeve and utilizes a silicon-carbide seat half with EPT rubber elements. This assembly handles a maximum pressure of 125 PSI. Pressure tappings are incorporated into the suction and discharge connections to facilitate system monitoring. The slip-on shaft sleeve allows for replacement in the field to assist with seal maintenance.
The system utilizes a 30 HP premium efficiency TEFC motor operating at 1750 RPM with Aegis grounding, powered by a 380-460V / 3PH supply, resulting in a DOE PEI of 0.46. The "S" in the SCI series denotes Taco's advanced Self-Sensing technology, which eliminates remote sensors and field wiring by using internal mathematical algorithms to calculate system resistance and automate variable flow. The included VFD is configured with a fused disconnect without bypass and holds an enclosure NEMA 12 / IP 55 rating. The drive ships unmounted for customer wall installation without a bracket, harness, or vibration mounts.
