This close-coupled end suction pump is constructed with a cast iron casing and a bronze impeller. The assembly integrates a dry shaft design that eliminates contact between the circulating fluid and the pump shaft, protecting internal components. A bronze shaft sleeve facilitates maintenance of the mechanical seal, which consists of a ceramic seat and EPT rubber. Suction and discharge pressure tappings are standard, and the design supports operating pressures up to 125 PSI without the use of a wear ring. Flush seal line taps are provided to allow for filter installation, which protects the seal from non-condensable particles in open systems.
The motor is a 10 HP premium efficiency TEFC unit operating at 3450 RPM, which incorporates Aegis grounding and utilizes a 200-230V / 3PH power supply. The "S" in the SCI series denotes Taco's advanced Self-Sensing technology, which eliminates remote sensors and field wiring by using internal mathematical algorithms to calculate system resistance and automate variable flow. The included VFD is configured with a fused disconnect without bypass and holds an enclosure NEMA 12 / IP 55 rating. The drive ships unmounted for customer wall installation without a bracket, harness, or vibration mounts.
