This close-coupled end suction pump incorporates a cast iron casing and a bronze impeller to facilitate liquid transfer. The assembly utilizes a bronze shaft sleeve and a dry shaft design, which protects the pump shaft by preventing contact with the circulating fluid. For fluid sealing, the unit employs a mechanical seal constructed with a ceramic seat and EPT rubber. Suction and discharge pressure tappings are provided, and the assembly is rated for 125 PSI operation without a wear ring. The casing includes flush seal line taps to allow for the installation of a filter to protect the seal from non-condensable particles.
The 7.5 HP premium efficiency TEFC motor operates at 3450 RPM and incorporates Aegis grounding on a 380-460V / 3PH power supply, achieving a DOE PEI rating of 0.45. The "S" in the SCI series denotes Taco's advanced Self-Sensing technology, which eliminates remote sensors and field wiring by using internal mathematical algorithms to calculate system resistance and automate variable flow. The included VFD is configured with a fused disconnect without bypass and holds an enclosure NEMA 12 / IP 55 rating. The drive ships unmounted for customer wall installation without a bracket, harness, or vibration mounts.
