This base-mounted end suction pump comprises a cast iron casing with center-line discharge and a hydraulically balanced bronze impeller. It incorporates a stainless steel shaft covered by a replaceable bronze shaft sleeve, utilizing a dry shaft design that prevents circulating fluid contact. The sealing system consists of a ceramic seat with EPT rubber components, rated for 125 PSI operation. Pressure tappings for suction and discharge connections are integrated into the casing to allow for system monitoring.
The 15 HP premium efficiency TEFC motor operates at 1750 RPM and incorporates Aegis grounding for protection against shaft currents, running on 200-230V / 3PH power with a DOE PEI of 0.46. The "S" in the SCI series denotes Taco's advanced Self-Sensing technology, which eliminates remote sensors and field wiring by using internal mathematical algorithms to calculate system resistance and automate variable flow. The included VFD is configured with a fused disconnect without bypass and holds an enclosure NEMA 12 / IP 55 rating. The drive ships unmounted for customer wall installation without a bracket, harness, or vibration mounts.
