This base-mounted end suction pump is constructed with a class 30 cast iron casing and a bronze impeller. The design utilizes a dry shaft configuration, which shields the stainless steel shaft from circulating fluid and incorporates a bronze shaft sleeve to facilitate maintenance. A mechanical seal assembly consisting of a ceramic seat half and EPT rubber components seals the rotating assembly. The pump supports operation up to 125 PSI without a wear ring and provides gauge ports at both the suction and discharge connections for monitoring system pressure.
The 10 HP premium efficiency ODP motor operates at 1750 RPM and utilizes Aegis grounding, accepting 200-230V 3PH power input, with a DOE PEI rating of 0.45. The 'S' in the SFI series denotes Taco's advanced Self-Sensing technology, which eliminates remote sensors and field wiring by using internal mathematical algorithms to calculate system resistance and automate variable flow. The included VFD is configured with a fused disconnect without bypass and holds an enclosure NEMA 1 / IP 21 rating. The drive ships unmounted for customer wall installation without a bracket, harness, or vibration mounts.
