This base-mounted end suction pump comprises a cast iron casing with a bronze impeller and a stainless steel shaft. It incorporates a dry shaft design that utilizes a replaceable bronze shaft sleeve to isolate the shaft from circulating fluid. The unit uses a mechanical seal constructed with a ceramic seat half and EPT rubber, rated for 125 PSI. Hydraulically balanced to facilitate consistent operation, the pump incorporates pressure tappings for suction and discharge connections and includes an integrally cast mounting foot for alignment.
The assembly utilizes a 7.5 HP Premium Efficiency TEFC motor operating at 1750 RPM with Aegis Grounding, configured for 208V, 3PH power, yielding a DOE PEI of 0.44. The 'S' in the SFI series denotes Taco's advanced Self-Sensing technology, which eliminates remote sensors and field wiring by using internal mathematical algorithms to calculate system resistance and automate variable flow. The included VFD is configured with an electro-mechanical bypass, a main disconnect, and drive fusing, holding an enclosure NEMA 1 / IP 21 rating. The drive ships unmounted for customer wall installation without a bracket, harness, or vibration mounts.
