This close-coupled end suction pump utilizes a cast iron casing and a bronze impeller to facilitate fluid transfer. The dry shaft design eliminates contact between the circulating fluid and the pump shaft, while a bronze shaft sleeve protects the assembly. A mechanical seal constructed with a ceramic seat half and EPT rubber manages internal pressure up to 125 PSI. Pressure tappings are incorporated on both the suction and discharge connections, and the design integrates flush seal line taps to allow the addition of an external filter.
The 20 HP premium efficiency TEFC motor operates at 1750 RPM, incorporates Aegis grounding, and accepts 380-460V / 3PH power, resulting in a DOE PEI of 0.45. The 'S' in the SCI series denotes Taco's advanced Self-Sensing technology, which eliminates remote sensors and field wiring by using internal mathematical algorithms to calculate system resistance and automate variable flow. The included VFD is configured with a fused disconnect without bypass and holds an enclosure NEMA 12 / IP 55 rating. The drive ships unmounted for customer wall installation without a bracket, harness, or vibration mounts.
