This base-mounted end suction pump comprises a cast iron casing with an integrally cast mounting design and a bronze impeller. The assembly utilizes a stainless steel shaft protected by a replaceable bronze shaft sleeve, adhering to a dry shaft design that maintains structural integrity at 125 PSI without the use of a wear ring. A mechanical seal, constructed with a ceramic seat and EPT rubber, regulates fluid isolation within the pump housing.
The system operates with a 15 HP premium efficiency TEFC motor at 1750 RPM, incorporating Aegis grounding and a 200-230V, 3PH power supply, resulting in a DOE PEI rating of 0.48. The "S" in the SCI series denotes Taco's advanced Self-Sensing technology, which eliminates remote sensors and field wiring by using internal mathematical algorithms to calculate system resistance and automate variable flow. The included VFD is configured with a fused disconnect without bypass and holds an enclosure NEMA 12 / IP 55 rating. The drive ships unmounted for customer wall installation without a bracket, harness, or vibration mounts.
