This base-mounted end suction pump incorporates a cast iron casing and a stainless steel NSF61 impeller. The assembly utilizes a dry shaft design that prevents circulating fluid from contacting the stainless steel shaft, which is protected by a bronze shaft sleeve. For fluid containment, the unit utilizes a mechanical seal constructed with EPT rubber and a ceramic seat. This hydraulic design operates at a pressure rating of 125 PSI without a wear ring.
The pump operates with a 2 HP, premium efficiency, TEFC motor at 1750 RPM with Aegis grounding and a 380-460V / 3PH power supply, yielding a DOE PEI of 0.44. The 'S' in the SFI series denotes Taco's advanced Self-Sensing technology, which eliminates remote sensors and field wiring by using internal mathematical algorithms to calculate system resistance and automate variable flow. The included VFD is configured with a fused disconnect without bypass and holds an enclosure NEMA 12 / IP 55 rating. The drive ships unmounted for customer wall installation without a bracket, harness, or vibration mounts.
