This Taco FI Series base-mounted end suction pump features a 2-1/2" suction and a 1-1/2" discharge with ANSI Class 125 flanges. The pump includes a 6-1/4" nominal diameter bronze impeller housed within a cast iron casing. It utilizes a dry shaft design incorporating a stainless steel shaft and a replaceable bronze shaft sleeve to isolate the shaft from the circulating fluid. The mechanical seal features a ceramic seat, carbon rotor, and EPT rubber, with a temperature rating of 250°F. The assembly allows for maintenance without disturbing the system piping and includes integrated pressure tappings on the suction and discharge connections.
The unit is powered by a 5 HP Baldor TEFC motor in a 184T frame, operating at 3450 RPM. The motor is rated for 230-460/60/3PH power supply and meets premium efficiency standards, including AEGIS shaft grounding. The pump is mounted on a welded base that includes an integral drip pan and an OSHA-compliant coupler guard. A Woods coupler connects the pump to the motor, which is configured for across-the-line starting and 40°C ambient operation. This equipment maintains a DOE PEI value of 0.91 and utilizes sealed-for-life ball bearings.
