This base-mounted end suction pump is constructed with a cast iron casing and a bronze impeller. The design integrates a stainless steel shaft paired with a replaceable bronze shaft sleeve and utilizes a ceramic seat with an EPT rubber mechanical seal. An internal dry shaft design eliminates contact between the circulating fluid and the shaft to prevent corrosion. The assembly provides a pressure rating of 125 PSI and incorporates gauge ports at both the suction and discharge connections to monitor fluid flow.
The system utilizes a 15 HP premium efficiency TEFC motor operating at 1750 RPM, equipped with Aegis grounding for operation on 380-460V / 3PH power, providing a DOE PEI of 0.46. The "S" in the SCI series denotes Taco's advanced Self-Sensing technology, which eliminates remote sensors and field wiring by using internal mathematical algorithms to calculate system resistance and automate variable flow. The included VFD is configured with a mechanical disconnect without bypass and holds an enclosure NEMA 12 / IP 55 rating. The drive ships unmounted for customer wall installation without a bracket, harness, or vibration mounts.
