This end suction pump integrates a class 30 cast iron casing with integrally cast mounting feet and a bronze impeller. A dry shaft design prevents fluid contact with the stainless steel shaft, which is covered by a replaceable bronze shaft sleeve. The mechanical seal assembly utilizes a ceramic seat and EPT rubber. Engineered for systems with a maximum pressure of 125 PSI, the pump incorporates center-line discharge for positive air venting and includes pressure tappings on both the suction and discharge connections.
The assembly utilizes a 15 HP premium efficiency TEFC motor operating at 3450 RPM with Aegis grounding, powered by 380-460V / 3PH electricity, resulting in a DOE PEI rating of 0.47. The 'S' in the SCI series denotes Taco's advanced Self-Sensing technology, which eliminates remote sensors and field wiring by using internal mathematical algorithms to calculate system resistance and automate variable flow. The included VFD is configured with a fused disconnect without bypass and holds an enclosure NEMA 12 / IP 55 rating. The drive ships unmounted for customer wall installation without a bracket, harness, or vibration mounts.
