This base-mounted end suction pump integrates a cast iron casing with a bronze impeller and a stainless steel shaft. It incorporates a replaceable bronze shaft sleeve and a dry shaft design that eliminates contact between the circulating fluid and the shaft. The assembly utilizes a mechanical seal with a silicon-carbide seat and EPT rubber, rated for 125 PSI system pressure. A replaceable wear ring sits within the casing, and the structure includes flush seal line taps to facilitate system maintenance.
The pump utilizes a 7.5 HP, Premium Efficiency, TEFC motor operating at 1750 RPM with Aegis grounding, powered by a 200-230V / 3PH supply, achieving a DOE PEI rating of 0.44. The 'S' in the SFI series denotes Taco's advanced Self-Sensing technology, which eliminates remote sensors and field wiring by using internal mathematical algorithms to calculate system resistance and automate variable flow. The included VFD is configured with a fused disconnect without bypass and holds an enclosure NEMA 12 / IP 55 rating. The drive ships unmounted for customer wall installation without a bracket, harness, or vibration mounts.
