This base-mounted end suction pump utilizes a class 30 cast iron casing and a bronze impeller to manage fluid movement. The assembly incorporates a dry shaft design with a replaceable bronze shaft sleeve and a stainless steel shaft to prevent fluid contact with internal components. A mechanical seal assembly consisting of a ceramic seat half and EPT rubber ensures fluid containment at pressures up to 125 PSI. The pump casing includes an integrally cast wear ring and gauge ports at the suction and discharge connections, which facilitates system maintenance without disturbing the connected piping.
Powered by a 5 HP premium efficiency TEFC motor operating at 1750 RPM, the assembly utilizes Aegis grounding and functions on a 380-460V / 3PH power supply with a DOE PEI rating of 0.44. The "S" in the SCI series denotes Taco's advanced Self-Sensing technology, which eliminates remote sensors and field wiring by using internal mathematical algorithms to calculate system resistance and automate variable flow. The included VFD is configured with a fused disconnect without bypass and holds an enclosure NEMA 12 / IP 55 rating. The drive ships unmounted for customer wall installation without a bracket, harness, or vibration mounts.
