This close-coupled end suction pump utilizes a cast iron casing paired with a bronze impeller and a bronze shaft sleeve. The dry shaft construction prevents fluid contact with the pump shaft, supporting pressure ratings up to 125 PSI without a wear ring. A mechanical seal integrates a ceramic seat and EPT rubber to provide a fluid-tight barrier between the rotating shaft and the pump housing. Pressure tappings located on the suction and discharge connections allow for monitoring system conditions during operation.
This unit is powered by a 20 HP premium efficiency TEFC motor operating at 3450 RPM, which incorporates Aegis grounding, utilizes 380-460V / 3PH power, and maintains a DOE PEI rating of 0.46. The 'S' in the SCI series denotes Taco's advanced Self-Sensing technology, which eliminates remote sensors and field wiring by using internal mathematical algorithms to calculate system resistance and automate variable flow. The included VFD is configured with a fused disconnect without bypass and holds an enclosure NEMA 12 / IP 55 rating. The drive ships unmounted for customer wall installation without a bracket, harness, or vibration mounts.
