This base-mounted end suction pump incorporates a cast iron casing and a bronze impeller to facilitate fluid movement. The internal construction utilizes a stainless steel shaft paired with a bronze shaft sleeve, engineered with a dry shaft design that prevents the circulating fluid from contacting the shaft. Mechanical sealing consists of a ceramic seat half and EPT rubber, providing a 125 PSI pressure rating without the use of a wear ring. The assembly enables serviceability without disturbing system piping by utilizing an integrally cast mounting design.
Powered by a 10 HP Premium Efficiency TEFC motor operating at 3450 RPM, the assembly utilizes Aegis Grounding and a 200-230V / 3PH power supply, resulting in a DOE PEI rating of 0.43. The 'S' in the SCI series denotes Taco's advanced Self-Sensing technology, which eliminates remote sensors and field wiring by using internal mathematical algorithms to calculate system resistance and automate variable flow. The included VFD is configured with a fused disconnect without bypass and holds an enclosure NEMA 4X / IP 66 rating. The drive ships unmounted for customer wall installation without a bracket, harness, or vibration mounts.
