This close-coupled end suction pump comprises a cast iron casing and a bronze impeller. The design utilizes a dry shaft configuration that prevents contact between the circulating fluid and the pump shaft, protected by a bronze shaft sleeve. A mechanical seal serves as the primary closure, constructed with a ceramic seat half and EPT rubber. Pressure tappings are provided on both the suction and discharge connections to allow for system monitoring. The assembly accommodates a maximum pressure rating of 125 PSI without a wear ring.
Powered by a 5.0 HP Premium Efficiency TEFC motor, the assembly operates at 1750 RPM and integrates Aegis grounding on a 380-460V, 3PH power supply, resulting in a DOE PEI rating of 0.44. The 'S' in the SCI series denotes Taco's advanced Self-Sensing technology, which eliminates remote sensors and field wiring by using internal mathematical algorithms to calculate system resistance and automate variable flow. The included VFD is configured with a fused disconnect without bypass and holds an enclosure NEMA 12 / IP 55 rating. The drive ships unmounted for customer wall installation without a bracket, harness, or vibration mounts.
