This Taco FI Series base-mounted end suction pump features a 5" suction port and a 4" discharge port with ANSI Class 125 flanges. The pump assembly consists of a cast iron casing, a bronze impeller with an 11" nominal diameter, and a stainless steel shaft. It uses a bronze shaft sleeve and a mechanical seal constructed of a ceramic seat, carbon rotor, and EPT rubber, rated for operation in temperatures up to 250 °F. The design incorporates a dry shaft to prevent contact between the circulating fluid and the shaft.
The pump operates at 1750 RPM and is powered by a 30 HP Baldor TEFC motor in a NEMA 286T frame. The unit is configured for 230-460/60/3 power and across-the-line starting with counter-clockwise rotation. It is mounted on a welded base that includes an integral drip pan and a Woods coupler with a standard coupler guard. The motor meets NEMA MG1-12.55 Super E premium efficiency standards. This assembly is rated for a 40 °C ambient temperature and maintains a DOE PEI value of 0.97.
