This Taco CI Series close-coupled end suction pump features a 4" suction port and a 3" discharge port with ANSI Class 125 flanges. It is constructed with a cast iron casing and cover and a 7-1/4" nominal diameter stainless steel (NSF61) impeller. The pump uses a dry shaft design with a bronze shaft sleeve to isolate the shaft from the circulating fluid. The mechanical seal consists of a ceramic seat, carbon rotor, and EPT rubber, rated for fluid temperatures up to 250°F. The unit includes flush seal line taps and pressure tappings on the suction and discharge connections. A rear pullout design allows for servicing without disturbing system piping.
The pump includes a 40 HP WEG motor in a 286 JM frame with feet. It operates at 3450 RPM with a 230-460V/60/3PH power supply. The motor features an ODP enclosure, AEGIS shaft grounding, and premium efficiency compliant with NEMA MG1-12.55 standards. The assembly is rated for 40°C ambient temperatures. This unit has a DOE PEI of 0.9. The top center line discharge configuration provides a self-venting design to simplify piping layouts and reduce system strain.
