This base-mounted end suction pump incorporates a cast iron casing and a bronze impeller. The design utilizes a dry shaft configuration that prevents circulating fluid contact with the stainless steel shaft, which is protected by a replaceable bronze shaft sleeve. A mechanical seal assembly composed of a ceramic seat and EPT rubber manages fluid containment under operating pressures up to 125 PSI.
Powered by a 5 HP premium efficiency TEFC motor at 1750 RPM, the assembly utilizes Aegis grounding and operates on 208V / 3PH power, achieving a DOE PEI rating of 0.44. The 'S' in the SCI series denotes Taco's advanced Self-Sensing technology, which eliminates remote sensors and field wiring by using internal mathematical algorithms to calculate system resistance and automate variable flow. The included VFD is configured with a fused disconnect, electro-mechanical bypass with a 3rd contactor, a 5kA SCCR, and holds an enclosure NEMA 12 / IP 55 rating. The drive ships unmounted for customer wall installation without a bracket, harness, or vibration mounts.
