This base-mounted end suction pump is constructed with a class 30 cast iron casing and incorporates integrally cast mounting feet for secure positioning. The assembly utilizes a bronze impeller and a stainless steel shaft, which is protected by a replaceable bronze shaft sleeve within a dry shaft design. This configuration prevents the circulating fluid from contacting the pump shaft. A ceramic seat and EPT rubber mechanical seal are utilized to maintain pressure integrity within the unit, which operates at a maximum pressure of 125 PSI.
This pump utilizes a 100 HP premium efficiency TEFC motor that operates at 1750 RPM with Aegis grounding, powered by 380-460V, 3PH electricity, yielding a DOE PEI rating of 0.46. The "S" in the SFI series denotes Taco's advanced Self-Sensing technology, which eliminates remote sensors and field wiring by using internal mathematical algorithms to calculate system resistance and automate variable flow. The included VFD is configured with a fused disconnect without bypass and holds an enclosure NEMA 4X / IP 66 rating. The drive ships unmounted for customer wall installation without a bracket, harness, or vibration mounts.
