This base-mounted end suction pump comprises a class 30 cast iron casing and a bronze impeller. The design integrates a stainless steel shaft paired with a replaceable bronze shaft sleeve and a dry shaft configuration that isolates the shaft from the circulating fluid. A ceramic and EPT mechanical seal facilitates operation at pressures up to 125 PSI. Integrally cast mounting feet on the casing provide structural stability, while pressure tappings on suction and discharge connections allow for monitoring system pressure. The pump utilizes a dynamically balanced impeller to minimize vibration during operation.
The motor delivers 15 HP with premium efficiency, a TEFC enclosure, and an operating speed of 1750 RPM, while incorporating Aegis grounding for the shaft at 380-460V / 3PH power supply, resulting in a DOE PEI rating of 0.45. The "S" in the SFI series denotes Taco's advanced Self-Sensing technology, which eliminates remote sensors and field wiring by using internal mathematical algorithms to calculate system resistance and automate variable flow. The included VFD is configured with a fused disconnect without bypass and holds an enclosure NEMA 4X / IP 66 rating. The drive ships unmounted for customer wall installation without a bracket, harness, or vibration mounts.
